Ipponyari Alabang

I really enjoyed our dinner at Ipponyari, the dishes were all authentically Japanese.

The best value for money Japanese restaurant in the south! We always get their spicy salmon sashimi and sashimi which is very fresh. Ebi tempura is light and crisp.

Ipponyari Japanese Restaurant Alabang is located on the second floor of Alabang West Parade alongside Daang Hari Road. There are plenty of parking spaces at the parking lot of the Alabang West Parade although there is paid parking. There is I think free parking at the side. We came here on a father's day sunday which is jam packed, the restaurant normally accepts reservations but on special occasions or holidays like today they do not accept reservations. It pays to really come early because we arrived just in time that it was filling up so we didn't queue up. The service like every Japanese restaurant in the metro, very well trained exceptional service. Although, it was packed to the brim at lunch time the mere fact that they were able to cater to every table's order is a plus points to the crew. The serving time was not that long they advised 20 to 25 mins serving time but it only took 12 minutes for our order. What a well prepared crew I must say and yes I timed it. The price is surprisingly not that expensive for the orders we had I was expecting around 7k on the bill but was surprised that it was around 4k. Shockingly, affordable for a high quality restaurant grade meals. The Saba Shio Yaki is quite small on the portions unlike previous japanese restaurants I have reviewed but it remained flavorful and the saba or mackerel brings out that taste that pairs well with rice. The Oyakodon is cooked really well and it's a staple of japanese donburis. Ipponyari's Oyakodon is not only savory but has a big portion in my opinion. The yakinikudon's sliced beef is marinated well enough that it has that beefy smell and soft beef It's a simple yet flavorful dish. The Chukadon is an example of a non vegetarian dish but we asked for it to be vegetarian and they honored our request. I highly suggest the Shima Hokke Yaki its one of their best dishes on the menu. As for the drinks I recommend the Macaronge drink its a mix of Mango Carrots and Orange. Overall, I would eat here again but maybe on a less busier time.

4 Stars - My go to for Japanese cuisine. You can tell a good Japanese restaurant when japanese themselves patronize it. Moreso, when have have their names in sake bottles at the bar. Two floors. We sat at the ground floor. Service suffered because servers were lacking. Our server tried to be attentive but had to do the same with several other tables. Water and hot tea were served immediately. Had to try to call her attention several times but she was busy with other tables. Food can be described as straightforward nothing fancy japanese. Just fresh, tasty, and flavorful.

Ipponyari is one of our favorite Japanese restaurants. Good food, affordable price, great experience. Ingredients are always fresh and clean. They also have free salad before meal is served and hot tea or iced coffee after your meal.

Today, Mother's Day, is our 5th visit in the last 12 months. The food and service never disappoint. The ingredients are fresh and A-1. The servings are full and not "bitin". They offer different types of Japanese style foods, from sushi to udons to tonkatsu to ramens to sashimi to bento boxes. Prices are affordable compared to high-end Japanese restos in Alabang area. The staff are courteous and helpful. For senior patrons, please check and review the discounts applied.

great place. decently priced and food was amazing. I got the tendon (lots of shrimp and a more uniquely sweet sauce). chicken leg and leek yakitori was really good too. grilled salmon head and assorted sashimi was amazing

Great food, great service. Atmosphere is very good but cannot give it 5 stars as it is a bit noisy.
